Over the past year, we have been working behind the scenes to re-invent the Attack Academy: a re-focused brand, an all-new logo, a refreshed website, a deeper roster of pro players, more content and a brand new app, just to name a few. It’s been a rewarding journey, and we want to share it with you.
New name, new brand. All that we needed now was a new app.
If you were a subscriber with us before Attack Academy v2.0 you must have noticed that we redesigned our home screen to show our four “pillars” of content that lives in the app.
Before we get into those, how did we get to this structure?
As we kept pushing Attack Academy v1.0, conversations of ideas began to flow. The two ideas that continued to come up were structured training on the field and workouts in the weight room. Rob and Grant both have dedicated countless hours in both of those areas. Those are the two areas that they get asked most about. So, we decided to share exactly what they were doing with all of you. We decided to give you their blueprint.
Our new training and workout features bring you the template that our pros use on a daily basis. No more going out to the field and just practicing low angle shots. No more going to the gym and hitting just abs and arms. The practice field and the weight room are where our pros separated themselves from the pack. Now it is YOUR TURN.
TRAINING refers to anything on the field. We wanted to provide structure to every subscribers training habits through giving them progressions and drills focusing on shooting, dodging, stickwork and footwork. These are carefully designed to teach specific skills. In these training sessions, our pros walk, jog and run through all of the drills. Our pros give you the directions and rep count, all you have to do is the work. No thinking, no confusion, just work.
Training videos get released weekly on a rotation from our pros. Don’t have enough time to get all three workouts in? Don’t sweat it. Life gets busy. Now, you can pick your favorite pro to train with. So when you have an extra 30 minutes, we have four of the best in the world, so you can’t go wrong with any of them.
WORKOUTS refers to anything Strength and Conditioning. We wanted to provide lacrosse specific workouts to acclimate our subscribers to a pivotal piece to becoming the best. Being exposed to lacrosse specific workouts at a young age was something that all of our pros wish that they had access to. You now have that access in the palm of your hand.
There are currently two separate 4-week programs live in the app with Rob Pannell and his trainer from Xceleration Sports Training. Depending on age and weight room access, we developed workout programs that can be done with weights and ones that can be done using bodyweight exercises. All that you have to do is watch the video, read the directions and DO THE WORK.
Our platform and our blueprint was now set, but like anything – there were still plenty of updates to go. More content to deliver, a roster to build, and a whole lot more. Stay tuned for Chapter 5 coming soon…
